William McRea

William McRea (Youth Director): William joined the Latham staff in March 2011 as Interim Youth Minister. He was officially named as Youth Minister in June 2011. William is from Cullman County, Alabama. He was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church and graduated from Fairview High School in 2001. While completing his college education, William worked as history and science instructor for Space Camp at the Huntsville Space and Rocket Center. He graduated from Athens University in 2008 with a B.A. in History and Religion. He then went on to complete a year of seminary at Memphis Theological Seminary. Upon coming to Latham William has worked as a Youth Minister in both Cullman, AL and Little Rock, AR plus helped run Camp Holy Cross in Burlington, VT as one the head counselors. When he is not with the youth William is an avid movie buff, enjoys cooking, spending time with his nephew and is a pretty big comic book nerd; with Superman being his favorite since he was a child.
